Preventive ConservatorSalary - £26,000 to £29,966 per annumFull Time Fixed Term Contract for 12 MonthsBritish Library, St Pancras site, London This is an opportunity to work on a time-limited project to develop a collection care eLearning module for British Library staff at the same time as improving the information and resources provided to users and the general public about collection care. You will have a degree in Conservation or equivalent experience as well as recent experience working in a cultural heritage environment handling and assessing a wide range of collection items. You will have an understanding of the risks that library collections face in storage, transit and use and the ways that these risks can be reduced. You will also have recent experience providing collection care coaching or training to staff, students, volunteers and/or the public. Operating with minimal supervision, you’ll also demonstrate your ability to plan, organise and track projects while keeping accurate and organised records, and demonstrating an understanding of the need to prioritise tasks in order to meet project deadlines.
