It’s Friday and therefore time for a freebie! Today’s giveaway is my little piece The Flying Dutchman (from the set of 5 pieces entitled Piano Waves), written for those of around intermediate level (Grades 5/6 ABRSM).
The Flying Dutchman represents the legend of the mythical ghost ship, which trawls the seas but never actually reaches land; a shadowy, apparition of a ship, continuously moving on in the distance. In ocean lore, the sight of this phantom ship apparently brings impending doom and gloom, therefore this could be the perfect piece for Halloween!
