In 2017, the Web.Com tour kicks off the season at the inaugural Bahamas Great Exuma Classic at Sandals.
In an unusual move, the tournament will be played Sunday through Thursday. The schedule change is designed to give the Web.Com tour additional exposure in a position that does not compete with either the PGA TOUR or the NFL.
The tournament is played at Greg Norman’s Emerald Bay golf course, which is adjacent to the Sandals Emerald Bay resort. I played the course in 2014, and had the opportunity to have dinner with Norman at the resort.
