Tiger of course also won the 2008 US Open at Torrey Pines. Tiger and Rocco Mediate were tied after the final round, which was followed by an 18 hole playoff the following day. The pair also were tied after that round. A sudden death playoff on the par 4 seventh ended the epic contest, with Woods taking a par to Mediate’s bogey.
