Raymond Weil Maestro Silver Dial Watch
I like watches with moon phase dials. They are both whimsical and classy.
This Raymond Weil watch features
- Automatic movement
- Durable sapphire crystal protects watch from scratches
- Case diameter: 39 mm
- Stainless steel case
- Water resistant to 165 feet (50 M): suitable for swimming and showering
The Raymond Weil watch company was founded in 1976 during the watchmaking industry’s “quartz crisis.” It was a turbulent time, as quartz watches supplanted those with mechanical movements. The Swiss watch industry had 1,600 manufacturers in 1970. By 1983, that was down to 800.
Weil’s entry into the market at that point was, to say the least, audacious.
